Variable Star observations done in Komakallio (B65)

Below are lightcurves of variable stars that are regularly observed in Komakallio, Kirkkonummi. Measurements marked with blue cross are photographed using the semi-automatic photometric system in Nema Observatory.

The lightcurves span the time of 200 days. We take four V-filter measurements from each target star. Two 30 second and two 60 second exposures. Thus, we spent 3+ minutes per target. The images that have the highest quality (S/N, no saturation, no artifacts etc) are selected for final measurements. We also take new dark and flat calibration images every night.

At the moment, the semi-automatic NEMA-system can measure about 100 targets per night. When the nights get longer we estimate that the system can run 200 targets per night.

Lightcurves below were generated using the AAVSO-lightcurve generator and the photometric measurements were done using the AAVSO VPhot web-service.
